In 2009, O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) began its first academic session with the establishment of India’s first global law school, Jindal Global Law School (JGLS). JGLS is recognised by the Bar Council of India and offers five-year B.A./B.B.A./B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) programmes, three-year LL.B. programme, and LL.M. programme with six areas of specialisation: Corporate and Financial Law; International Trade Law; Intellectual Property Rights; Taxation; Environmental Law, Energy and Climate Change and Dispute Resolution.
JGU has been widely recognised by many institutions around the world. It has enabled us to develop international collaborations with over 250 institutions in over 50 countries. JGLS has built international collaborations with leading law schools around the world, which have led to the implementation of faculty and student exchanges, joint teaching, joint research, joint publications, dual degree programmes, joint executive education programmes, summer and winter schools and study abroad programmes.
In 2020, JGU was recognized as an Institution of Eminence by the Government of India. In 2021, JGLS was ranked as the No. 1 Law School in India by the QS World University Rankings and has been ranked among the top 100 law schools in the world.
