1st edition of The Election Commission of India Annual National Essay Contest on Election & Democracy, conducted jointly by IIIDEM & JGLS is in both English and Hindi.

All participants must be students as on October 2, 2021, falling in any of the following two categories:

• Category I includes students pursuing a Full-time Under-graduate/ Graduate degree law programme (e.g., LL.B., B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., B.Com. LL.B., B.Sc. LL.B.) from Indian Universities / Institutes / Colleges recognized by the Bar Council of India; and
• Category II includes students pursuing a Full-time Post-graduate Degree law programme (e.g., LL.M., M.Phil., Ph.D.) from Indian Universities / Institutes / Colleges recognized by the Bar Council of India.

If any co-author belongs to category II, the entire submission would be submitted and judged under category II ONLY
